According to a bulletin from the Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Jia Zijun, former Party secretary and chairman of Gansu Province Materials Group Co., Ltd., was expelled from the Party for serious violations of discipline and law, and his retirement benefits were revoked in accordance with regulations. The bulletin said that Jia Zijun was disloyal and dishonest to the Party, resisted organizational scrutiny, improperly accepted banquets and travel arrangements, failed to report personal matters, and illegally sought personnel benefits for others while receiving money and property. He also took advantage of his position to help others in enterprise restructuring, project contracting, and other matters, and accepted huge bribes. In addition, the bulletin pointed out that Jia Zijun also colluded with others to embezzle stateowned assets and was suspected of crimes of bribery and embezzlement. The proceeds from his disciplinary and legal violations will be confiscated, and the relevant suspected criminal matters have been transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law.
