On August 5, the Jielong3 Yao12 carrier rocket was successfully launched in waters near Haiyang, Shandong, sending the Dongfang Huiyan Hyperspectral 01 and 02 satellites into their planned orbit. The launch site attracted tens of thousands of people to watch the event, and the atmosphere along the coastline was lively.
With the arrival of the summer travel peak, many viewing spots in Haiyang saw dense crowds, and many families, study tour groups, and space enthusiasts from multiple countries came specially to attend. The site also featured interactive robots, water rocket experiences, popular science lectures, and an aerospace cultural and creative market, enhancing the viewing experience.
The local cultural and tourism authorities said the rocket launch boosted spending on hotels, homestays, dining, and cultural products, and also promoted the formation of "viewing + vacation" routes.
