Ministry of Land launches the Korean Architecture Culture Awards student design competition

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 18th that it will hold the student design contest for the ‘Korea Architecture Award.’ This award is the highestauthority governmentsponsored architecture award in Korea, aimed at advancing architectural culture.
The general category theme for the contest, which marks its 35th year this year, is ‘Layering of Time and Space,’ while the Hanok category theme is ‘Once Again, Public Hanok.’ There are no separate location restrictions.
Applications to participate can be submitted on the Korea Architecture Award website from the 27th to the 31st of next month, and entries will be accepted from August 26 to 28 until 5 p.m. A total of 26 awards, including the grand prize, and prize money of 28 million won have been prepared, and the awards ceremony is expected to be held at the ‘2026 Korea Architecture Award’ event in November.
