The costume microdrama "Prince Jiaqing Travels to Taiwan" held its premiere ceremony in Beijing on September 11. Based on a folk legend, the series also introduces new elements such as "story entry," telling the story of a storyteller who enters the plot and goes through adventures and growth together with "Prince Jiaqing." This work has 70 episodes, each about 2 minutes long. It incorporates Minnan culture, Mazu beliefs, and Taiwan's local customs and conditions, and also uses glove puppetry as an important thread, highlighting the cultural ties and shared emotions between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Director Zhuang Canjie said that the creative goal is to let audiences see the commonalities between the cultures of both sides through the story. The series is also the first drama issued by the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau after the implementation of the relevant new regulations. After its premiere, it will first be launched on the "Jingcai Taiwan" video account, and then appear on major mainstream platforms at home and abroad.
