The Jeju District Prosecutors' Office has indicted and detained former police officer A, who murdered his wife during divorce proceedings despite being subject to domestic violence and a restraining order. According to prosecutors, A is accused of entering his wife B's home in Namwoneup, Seogwiposi, in the early hours of the 23rd and murdering her with a weapon. During the investigation, it was also confirmed that A had been committing domestic violence against the victim, and prosecutors applied the charge of retaliatory murder based on this. It was also revealed that A violated the courtissued restraining order. Prosecutors said they further confirmed through mobile phone forensics and bank transaction records that A had attempted to steal jewelry and valuables, and added a robberymurder charge as well.
