Southeast University Launches Innovation Ecosystem, Seven Cutting-Edge Research Platforms Unveiled
Southeast University’s Jiulonghu Innovation Ecosystem construction plan focuses on directions such as 6G, biomedicine, and integrated circuits Advancing the transformation of research成果, industrial implementation, and talent aggregation to unlock new momentum for university innovation
On June 6, Southeast University held a development conference in Nanjing to mark the 124th anniversary of its founding and the 20th anniversary of the opening of its Jiulonghu Campus. On the same day, the university released a plan for building the Jiulonghu Innovation Ecosystem and unveiled seven major cuttingedge research platforms, including the School of Pharmacy, the Ferroelectric Chemistry Research Institute, and the International New Energy Equipment Research Institute.
According to the construction plan, Southeast University will focus on national strategic emerging industry directions such as 6G, biomedicine, integrated circuits, and advanced energy storage, and promote the coordinated advancement of achievement transformation and industrial implementation. The plan also proposes a linkage path from achievement discovery and pilotscale incubation to industrial implementation, so as to improve the efficiency of scientific research成果 transformation and promote the concentration of highlevel talent.
Among them, the Ferroelectric Chemistry Research Institute was established under the leadership of Academician Xiong Rengen of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with related research focusing on ferroelectric material design and foundational theoretical innovation. The university said it will rely on the longterm accumulation of the Jiulonghu Campus and the foundation of universitylocal government cooperation to further promote the deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, and talent chain.
