Homeplus will officially reopen its stores on the 13th after securing emergency operating funds.
According to Homeplus on the 5th, the Seoul Bankruptcy Court approved the emergency operating fund (DIP) loan that day, and KRW 200 billion is scheduled to be transferred to Homeplus on the same day. Based on this, the company plans to resume operations at 67 stores currently under temporary closure after completing discussions with suppliers and delivery companies.
Homeplus will hold a soft opening on the 7th and officially open on the 13th. Previously, the court had decided to terminate the rehabilitation proceedings due to a shortage of funds needed to implement the rehabilitation plan, but the procedure resumed after Homeplus signed a DIP loan agreement with Meritz Financial Group and filed an immediate appeal.
