Kim Yongbeom, the Chief Policy Officer at the Blue House, said that the government is reviewing the direction of adjustments to capital gains tax and holding tax in the real estate tax reform plan to be announced at the end of this month. Appearing on KBS’s ‘Sunday Diagnosis Live’ on the 19th, he explained that they are discussing ways to apply different rules to multihomeowners and singlehomeowners, owneroccupiers and nonoccupiers, and ultrahighpriced homes.

He stated that if the holding tax is strengthened, adjustments to capital gains tax can also be reviewed together, but that it would not be a method of uniformly matching tax rates. As for housing supply measures, he said the government will aim for shortterm supply effects through revitalizing LH purchaserental housing, expanding supply of nonapartment housing and officetels, and changing the用途 of the third new towns.
