Kwon Changyoung’s second special prosecution team for comprehensive investigation completed the first summons interrogation of former President Yoon Sukyeol in about 6 hours and 30 minutes. The interrogation began on the 6th at the special prosecution office in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, and ended around 4:30 p.m.
Former President Yoon was questioned on suspicion of instructing that messages justifying martial law be delivered to friendly countries including the United States after the declaration of the December 3 emergency martial law. It is known that the special prosecution confirmed the background of how the message was drafted at the time and the process of instructing its delivery.
After finishing the questioning, former President Yoon was transported to Seoul Detention Center in a Ministry of Justice escort vehicle. Both his arrival and departure were handled privately, with no exposure to the media.
