According to the weather department forecast, from July 27 to 28, moderate to heavy rain, with localized torrential rain, will occur in southcentral Hubei, the Sichuan Basin, and other areas. There is a relatively high risk of flash floods, geological disasters, and flooding in small and mediumsized rivers.
In accordance with the National Emergency Plan for Flood and Drought Control and related regulations, the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters activated a Level IV flood control emergency response for Hubei and Sichuan at 18:00 on July 27.
At present, the relevant areas need to continue monitoring changes in rainfall, strengthen floodcontrol inspections and risk prevention, and reduce the impacts that heavy rainfall may bring.
