Sobhise: Youth Are Active Participants in Shaping Future Bilateral Relations

Sopheap, vice chairman and secretary general of the CambodiaChina Youth Friendship House, recently said in an interview in Phnom Penh that youth exchanges are no longer just a complement to bilateral cooperation, but an important pillar of the longterm CambodiaChina partnership. He pointed out that as CambodiaChina relations extend from the government level to civil society, interactions among young people in areas such as education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and public affairs are laying a stronger social foundation for the ties between the two countries and promoting more practical cooperation. Sopheap believes that today’s youth are more inclined to understand CambodiaChina relations from the perspectives of shared development and regional integration. In the future, youth exchanges need to be more structured and resultsoriented, and their sustainability should be strengthened through mechanisms such as joint research, internships, innovation projects, and alumni networks, enabling young people to gradually grow from participants into designers and drivers of cooperation.
