John Rim, CEO of Samsung Biologics, announced that the company will open a new sales hub in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to target the European market. This plan is a measure to strengthen support for European clients and enhance orderwinning competitiveness, following the United States and Japan.
At a press briefing held during the Bio USA event in San Diego, USA, CEO John explained that since the United States and Europe account for a large share of the global biopharmaceutical market, the company will expand its local response system. He said the company has already secured major global pharmaceutical companies as clients and is also expanding points of contact with European clients.

Following the acquisition of the Rockville plant in the United States, it is examining the possibility of securing additional facilities and pursuing strategic mergers and acquisitions, while also pushing ahead with plans to establish second and third biocampuses in Songdo.
