LS Vice Chairman Myung Nohyun visited the United States and Mexico to review strategies for expanding the North American power and energy businesses. This schedule continued for about a week starting on the 17th, and was focused on enhancing LS Group’s local business competitiveness.
Vice Chairman Myung attended the KoreaU.S. Strategic Industries and Security Forum held in Washington, where he met with key local figures and explained the investment status and business plans of LS affiliates. He also discussed measures to respond to the North American market in core areas such as extrahighvoltage transformers, submarine cables, and power distribution systems.
He then toured the Superior Essex headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and a submarine cable factory construction site in Virginia, and also visited the LS Automotive plant in Monterrey, Mexico. LS expects that the expansion of artificial intelligence data centers, replacement of aging power grids, and expansion of renewable energy infrastructure will drive demand in North America.
