Many Places in Jiangsu Standardize the Names of Internal Departments in Party and Government Organs

Recently, places such as Huai'an, Wuxi, and Nantong in Jiangsu have made uniform standardizations to the names of some internal bodies within Party and government agencies, changing the original divisionlevel internal bodies named with "chu" (处) to "ke" (科). The corresponding titles of the heads of these positions have also been standardized accordingly to section chief and deputy section chief. Reports show that units including the Huai'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Finance Bureau, and Ecology and Environment Bureau have successively issued notices involving the renaming of multiple bodies such as the General Affairs Division, Finance Division, Budget Division, Treasury Division, and Government Procurement Management Division. The Nantong Municipal Bureau of Transport and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Wuxi Municipal People's Government have also completed the adjustments in accordance with notices from the relevant organizational establishment office. The main focus of attention in the industry is that this name standardization is a unified adjustment at the level of organizational management. The titles of the relevant officials changed naturally along with the renaming of the bodies, and this does not constitute a new adjustment in the sense of personnel appointments or removals. Nanchang had previously also carried out a similar unified standardization of the names of internal bodies within municipal Party, government, and mass organizations.
