Nanjing, July 20 — The concrete main structure of the Nanjing North Station building was topped out on the 20th, marking a new stage in the construction of this important transportation hub on the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta.
The project is located in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, with a total floor area of about 692,100 square meters. It adopts a layout of four floors above ground and two underground levels, and is planned to have 16 platforms and 30 tracks. It will connect to lines such as the Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu HighSpeed Railway and the Nanjing–Huai'an Intercity Railway, and will form links with Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station through relevant rivercrossing passages.
According to the report, after topping out, the project will enter the stages of roof steel structure assembly, secondary structure construction, and decoration and finishing work. As a green and lowcarbon model station building project, Nanjing North Station has already applied multiple green and lowcarbon technologies, reducing carbon emissions by a total of 5,207 tons.
