Romero, more likely to leave Tottenham… four teams are interested

Cristian Romero’s chances of leaving Tottenham this summer are increasing. British media outlet TEAMtalk reported that Inter Milan are pushing to sign Romero, while Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid are also showing interest. According to reports, Tottenham and Inter Milan have reached an agreement at around €40 million in transfer fee, but negotiations over Romero’s personal terms are dragging on. Romero is said to prefer a move to Spain, but it cannot be said for certain that the offers from Spanish clubs are necessarily better than Inter Milan’s terms. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi does not appear to be strongly intent on keeping the player. Romero took over the captain’s role from Son Heungmin, but the team’s recent results fell short of expectations, and Romero’s future has also emerged as a major variable in the transfer market.
