China Electronics Technology Group Corporation recently held a media open house to introduce the progress of its Industrial Foundation Research Institute in the field of thirdgeneration semiconductors. The institute has been continuously advancing efforts in silicon carbide technology breakthroughs and industrial implementation, and has formed a complete system from product development to application scenarios.
The report noted that the relevant product portfolio now covers main drive modules for new energy vehicles, dedicated modules for solidstate transformers and solidstate circuit breakers, highfrequency industrial power modules, and more, and can adapt to a variety of power levels and application scenarios. As computing infrastructure expands, the institute is also working in coordination with computing power and power enterprises to customize silicon carbide products for devices such as computing power supplies and energy storage converters.
In addition, the institute said that in the future it will continue to advance upgrades to nextgeneration manufacturing processes in key areas such as new energy, new power grids, and computing infrastructure, improve the performance of silicon carbide devices, and strengthen industrial chain coordination to support the highlevel development of the thirdgeneration semiconductor industry.
