Special Forum on AI Empowering Biomedicine and Deep-Sea Exploration Held at the Annual Conference of the China Association for Science and Technology

The 28th Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology recently held two themed forums in Beijing, respectively focusing on the application of AI in biomedical big data research and on AI's support for deepsea energy and resource exploration. At the biomedical forum, experts from fields such as clinical medicine, artificial intelligence, and data science discussed topics including AIassisted modern medicine, governance of life and health data, and collaborative innovation across medical services, healthcare, and medicine. They also offered suggestions on a humanAI collaborative medical model of "doctor + AI assistant," as well as data security and circulation mechanisms. At the deepsea exploration forum, scholars focused on areas such as AIempowered frontier scientific discoveries in the deep sea, resource exploration, environmental safety, and new detection technologies and equipment. They exchanged research findings on intelligent geophysical inversion, deepsea sulfide resource exploration, and seismic signal processing. The organizers said that the academic perspectives and technical ideas formed at the forum could serve as a reference for the intelligent development of related fields.
