Chamisul Fresh lowers its alcohol content to 15.7 degrees

Chamisul Fresh’s alcohol content has been reduced to 15.7 degrees, and HiteJinro has been renewed. Meet a lighter soju with the new product scheduled for sequential release.

HiteJinro has carried out a renewal of Chamisul Fresh, lowering its alcohol content from 16% to 15.7%. The new product is scheduled to be released sequentially from the middle of this month. The adjustment to Chamisul Fresh's alcohol content comes about 2 years and 4 months after it was lowered from 16.5% to 16% in February 2024. The company explained that this reflects the ongoing trend of consumers preferring lower alcohol content. Chamisul, launched in 1998, is a representative domestic soju brand with cumulative sales of about 41.3 billion bottles, and Chamisul Original continues to maintain its existing 20.1% alcohol content.
