Zhengzhou North Station Ensures Smooth Transportation of "Three Summer" Supplies

Zhengzhou, June 10 — Since late May, Henan has entered the busy summer farming season of "three summer" agricultural work: summer harvest, summer planting, and summer field management. As an important routebased marshalling station in the Central Plains region, Zhengzhou North Station has recently intensified scheduling and organization to ensure the rapid transfer and dispatch of agricultural materials such as grain, fertilizer, seeds, and farm machinery. The report said that in response to the rollingstock demand from grain shipping locations such as Kaifeng, Shangqiu, and Xuchang, the station gives priority to allocating empty wagons. It also implements measures such as priority loading, priority provision of empty wagons, priority pickup and delivery, priority attachment and transport, and priority marshalling for incoming summer grain and agricultural supply traffic, in order to shorten transfer times and improve transportation efficiency. Data show that since May, the instation transfer dwell time for trains at Zhengzhou North Station has been reduced to 5.8 hours, shorter than in previous years; the average daily number of wagons handled and trains received and dispatched has also remained at a relatively high level. During the same period, the station has operated 541 longdistance technical direct trains, further improving the transportation connection efficiency of key materials. Since the start of "three summer" transportation, the station has sent more than 21,000 tons of agriculturalrelated materials per day on average, ensuring the operation of more than 150 "three summer" trains. Its service coverage spans multiple grain shipping locations within Henan Province and extends to places such as Shandong, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Hubei.
