KBS announced its broadcast plans for the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup, unveiling a lineup led by caster Jun Hyunmoo and commentator Lee Youngpyo.
At the production press conference held on the 2nd at KBS Art Hall in Yeongdeungpogu, Seoul, commentator Lee Youngpyo, Jun Hyunmoo, and announcer Nam Hyunjong attended and shared the direction and resolve for the broadcast. KBS plans to air 91 of the 104 matches live through KBS2, including games of the South Korean national team.
Lee Youngpyo said he would deliver commentary that reflects both the perspectives of players and fans, while Jun Hyunmoo said he would make use of his strengths in friendly hosting and creating a lively onsite atmosphere rather than soccer expertise. KBS also plans to enhance the quality of its broadcast by utilizing AI predictions, multilingual translation, and databases.
