CPPCC Members of Shandong Province Offer Suggestions to Improve the Urban-Rural Commercial Circulation Network

On June 30, the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its monthly consultation meeting, hearing opinions from committee members, experts, and grassroots representatives on promoting the construction of an urbanrural commercial circulation network system. Participants focused their suggestions on topics such as optimizing the layout of the urbanrural threetier network, improving twoway circulation efficiency, and advancing commercial development in county areas. Many committee members offered suggestions from different perspectives: some proposed promoting pairing and coordinated efforts between urban streets, communities, and villages, driving farm experience activities, fruitpicking tours, and agricultural education programs, and promoting rural leisure tourism and the building of特色 brands; others suggested strengthening the digital development of cold chain logistics and building a provincial smart cold chain big data platform to enable coordinated scheduling, inventory management, traceability, and supervision; still others suggested improving the microcirculation at the end of rural logistics, opening more customized and seasonal dedicated transport routes for agricultural and sideline products, and enhancing the connection between the "last mile" and the "first mile." Ge Huijun, Chairperson of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, said that the construction of the urbanrural commercial circulation network system should be advanced as an important task that lays a foundation, benefits the long term, and improves people's livelihoods, while properly balancing the relationship between the role of the market and government guidance, and between unified planning and adaptation to local conditions, so as to continuously raise the overall level of the province's commercial circulation system.
