National average gasoline price in the 2,009 won range, falling for 4 consecutive weeks

The average selling prices of gasoline and diesel at domestic gas stations fell slightly for the fourth consecutive week. According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's Opinet, the nationwide average gasoline price in the second week of June (7th to 11th) was 2,009.9 won per liter, down 0.5 won from the previous week. The average diesel price also fell by 0.3 won to 2,004.8 won per liter. By region, Seoul had the highest gasoline price at 2,051.5 won per liter, while Daegu had the lowest at 1,990.6 won. By brand, SK Energy averaged 2,013.8 won, and budget gas stations were recorded at 1,995.9 won. International oil prices showed weekly volatility but were generally flat overall. Dubai crude fell to 89.7 dollars, while international gasoline stood at 117.5 dollars and international automotive diesel at 140.1 dollars. The government also froze the maximum oil product prices that have been in effect since the end of last month.
