Beijing hosted the National Science and Technology Awards Conference, the Academicians Conference of the two academies, and the 11th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology. Recipients of the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award and others received their awards at the conference, which Xi Jinping attended and addressed.
