Zhao Leji Meets Hun Sen in Beijing

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 25 — Zhao Leji, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with Hun Sen, Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Senate, in Beijing on the afternoon of the 25th. Zhao Leji said that after President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Cambodia in April last year, China and Cambodia jointly announced the building of an allweather ChinaCambodia community with a shared future for the new era. The Chinese side is willing to continue working with the Cambodian side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two parties and two countries, carry forward the traditional friendship, deepen strategic cooperation, and promote common development. The Chinese side also hopes to strengthen exchanges with Cambodia's legislative body, learn from each other in legislative and supervisory experience, and promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries. Hun Sen said that CambodiaChina relations have withstood the test of changes in the international situation and have been elevated to an allweather community with a shared future for the new era. Cambodia will continue to uphold its friendly policy toward China, and is willing to expand cooperation with China at the levels of political parties, legislative bodies, and other areas, and consolidate the CambodiaChina friendship.
