China Contributes to Improving Global Governance

The white paper released recently systematically reviews China’s concepts, initiatives, and practices in participating in and advancing global governance, emphasizing that China will continue to support multilateralism through concrete actions and promote global governance toward a more just and reasonable direction. The article points out that the current international situation is complex and everchanging, with overlapping challenges in areas such as peace, development, security, and governance, and that the global governance system faces an urgent need for reform and improvement. Against this backdrop, China has put forward and put into practice initiatives related to global governance, advocating that countries address common problems through cooperation and opposing unilateralism and actions that undermine international rules. The article also mentions that China continues to provide international public goods in areas such as security, development, trade, climate, artificial intelligence, and civilizational exchanges, for example by participating in UN peacekeeping, advancing the joint building of the Belt and Road, supporting development cooperation with developing countries, taking part in climate governance, and promoting global dialogue among civilizations, thereby injecting more stability and cooperative momentum into global governance.
