At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China’s regular press conference on June 2, a response was given to the statement by Chinese Kuomintang Chairman Cheng Liwun that she is willing to meet with U.S. President Trump during her visit to the United States.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that issues involving external exchanges by the Taiwan region of China should be handled in accordance with the One China principle.
The response emphasized the Chinese side’s consistent position on issues related to Taiwan’s external exchanges.
