According to news from the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Chen Weiquan, former firstlevel inspector of the Standing Committee of the Nanchong Municipal People’s Congress in Sichuan Province, was expelled from the Party for serious violations of discipline and law, and his related benefits were canceled in accordance with regulations, with the proceeds from his disciplinary and legal violations confiscated. The notice shows that Chen Weiquan was found to have violated the spirit of the Central Eightpoint Regulations, breached organizational principles, engaged in profitmaking activities in violation of regulations, sought gains for relatives, and used his position to provide assistance to others in project contracting and fund disbursement, while accepting money and property in return. The Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision stated that the issues involving Chen Weiquan have been transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, and the relevant money, property, and its proceeds have also been transferred for handling together.
