On September 28, Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met in Beijing with a national ethnic minority delegation. He stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thought on strengthening and improving ethnic work, firmly follow the correct path of resolving ethnic issues with Chinese characteristics, and pool strength to advance Chinese modernization.
Wang Huning said that the national ethnic minority delegation is a traditional arrangement of the Party's ethnic work. Its members are mostly model individuals and collective representatives for ethnic unity and progress, and they have long been active on the front lines at the grassroots level, contributing to strengthening the sense of community for the Chinese nation.
He hoped that the delegation members would continue to firmly follow the Party, study and implement the law on promoting ethnic unity and progress, take the lead in respecting, studying, observing, and applying the law, promote broad exchanges, communication, and integration among all ethnic groups, and jointly advance highquality development in ethnic regions and the building of Chinese modernization. Li Ganjie, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, and State Councilor Shen Yiqin attended the meeting.
