Zhejiang proposes building a better innovation ecosystem

On April 30, Zhejiang held a special press conference in Hangzhou on "Getting Off to a Good Start in the '15th FiveYear Plan'." Zhejiang Provincial Governor Liu Jie said that the province will promote the concept of "Innovation in Zhejiang, Growth of Everything" to take root in people's minds, and strive to form an innovationdriven development pattern that combines the vitality of large enterprises as well as small and mediumsized enterprises.
The press conference said that Zhejiang is currently placing greater emphasis in building a business environment on the innovation ecosystem, stressing that it will improve overall development quality through coordinated reforms in education, science and technology, and talent, as well as the deep integration of scitech innovation and industrial innovation. The province also proposed to support the building of an innovation system through policies, platforms, factor allocation, and service guarantees.
In terms of specific measures, Zhejiang will continue to improve mechanisms such as direct policy delivery, shared talent mobility, concept verification and pilotscale testing platforms, and support for scitech finance, while creating an environment that encourages innovation and tolerates failure by optimizing government services, strengthening intellectual property protection, and enhancing fair competition review.
