Woman in her 60s who killed her live-in partner over alcohol problems also gets 25-year prison sentence on appeal
Woman in her 60s who killed her common-law spouse also gets 25-year prison sentence on appeal Tragedy after a dispute over money... 10-year electronic monitoring order also upheld
A woman in her 60s who killed her commonlaw spouse of 30 years after a dispute over money while drinking was sentenced to 25 years in prison on appeal as well.
The Criminal Division 2 of the Incheon Branch of the Seoul High Court maintained the same sentence as the first trial for A, 62, who was indicted on murder charges, and also ordered her to wear an electronic location tracking device for 10 years.
The court found that there were no changed circumstances that would justify altering the sentence, and that it was difficult to regard the original court's sentencing as excessive. A was handed over for trial on charges of repeatedly stabbing a man in his 70s with whom she had been living in a villa in Incheon last December, causing his death.
