On the evening of September 29, a FujianTaiwan youth art concert themed “A Heartfelt Musical Expression of Love for the Motherland” was held at the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area in Nanjing County, Zhangzhou, Fujian. Musicians and young artists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait performed on the same stage, with about 200 people attending on site.
The concert was hosted by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Fujian FujianTaiwan Cultural Exchange Center. It was also one of Fujian’s important initiatives to promote crossstrait cultural exchange. The performance mainly featured Minnan songs, while incorporating elements such as Nanyin, ethnic dance, and instrumental performances, presenting strong regional cultural characteristics.
The program included classic works such as “Wang Chunfeng” and “The Moon Above the Sky,” as well as adapted pieces that combined traditional Nanyin with modern stage expression. Performers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait said they hoped to use music to deepen exchanges and let more people experience the charm of Minnan culture, Zhangzhou tulou, and the rural landscape.
