The case of Ma Lifang, former member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Veterans Affairs Department, who is suspected of taking bribes, has recently been concluded by the investigation of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution.
At the designation of jurisdiction by the People's Procuratorate of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Guyuan Municipal People's Procuratorate has filed a public prosecution with the Guyuan Intermediate People's Court in accordance with the law. The procuratorate said that while serving as deputy secretary of the Pingluo County Committee, acting county magistrate, county magistrate, and member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Autonomous Region Veterans Affairs Department, Ma Lifang took advantage of her position and the convenience formed by her power and status to seek benefits for others and illegally accepted property, involving an exceptionally large amount.
