On July 15, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, said during an inspection in Shanghai that advancing urban renewal with high quality is an important lever for urban modernization. On that day, accompanied by relevant officials from Shanghai, Xi conducted research successively at the residents' neighborhood of Citizens' New Village on South Bansongyuan Road Subdistrict in Huangpu District, and at the community Partymasses service station and other places.
