Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security: Enterprise annuity individual accounts can be transferred and continued online starting next year

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently issued the "Procedures for the Transfer and Continuation of Enterprise Annuity Individual Accounts (Trial)", clarifying that starting from January 1, 2027, employees who change jobs may apply for the transfer and continuation of their enterprise annuity individual accounts through unified online channels such as the National Social Insurance Public Service Platform, the National Human Resources and Social Security Government Services Platform, the eSocial Security Card, and the Palm 12333 app, and check the progress of their applications.
According to the procedures, if an employee has joined the enterprise annuity of the new employer, the new employer's account shall be used as the collecting account; if the new employer has not established an enterprise annuity, or if multiple accounts need to be consolidated, the retained account of the enterprise annuity collective plan may be selected in accordance with the regulations, or the account managed by the last former employer may be used as the collecting account, after which the relevant trustee shall handle the transfer application and data exchange.
The procedures also make clear that retired personnel who have already begun receiving enterprise annuity benefits may apply to transfer any other enterprise annuity individual account funds under their name into the account from which benefits are being received. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security requires all enterprise annuity trustees and account managers to strengthen information technology development, carry out transfer and continuation work in accordance with the procedures, and reduce inconvenience during account transfers.
