Over 200 precious cultural relics showcase the Long March journey of the Red 25th Army
The joint exhibition of revolutionary relics from the Red 25th Army's Long March has opened at the Henan Museum. Over 200 precious cultural relics combined with historical materials and photos from six provinces recreate the journey of moving north, fighting battles, and the Yongping rendezvous, making it well worth seeing in person.
On August 5, the "Red 25th Army Long March Revolutionary Cultural Relics Joint Exhibition" opened at the Henan Museum. More than 200 precious cultural relics from Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia were displayed together, accompanied by more than 500 historical photos, presenting the historical scenes of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army during the Long March.
The exhibition is divided into five sections: "Bravely Going to the National Crisis for AntiJapanese Salvation," "Moving North by Order," "Opening Up New Areas and Consolidating and Expanding," "Bravely Serving as the Vanguard and Fighting Across the Northwest," and "The Yongping Meeting Shining Through the Ages," retracing the complete journey of the Red 25th Army from its departure from the EyuWan Soviet Area, its northward campaigns, to its rendezvous in northern Shaanxi.
The family letters, armbands, pocket watch, meal bag, lamp stand, and iron knives, rifles, and other relics on display in the exhibition hall attracted many parents visiting with their children. The organizers said that this joint exhibition integrates red cultural relic resources from multiple regions, and subsequent joint displays through several memorial halls and museums will further expand its reach.
