The 2026 "Taiwan Businesspeople and Taiwan Youth Visit Chongqing" event has kicked off

The 2026 “Taiwan Businesspeople and Taiwan Youth Chongqing Tour” event opened in Chongqing on June 25, with more than 200 Taiwanese businesspeople and youth representatives participating. The event focuses on financial support for industry, manufacturing cooperation, and youth exchanges, promoting crossstrait integrated development. During the event, a crossstrait smart connected new energy vehicle industry integration and development matchmaking meeting will be held in Yongchuan, Chongqing. Companies such as Great Wall Motors and Yadea Electric Bikes will introduce their industrial布局 and development trends, and representatives of Taiwaninvested enterprises will also seek cooperation opportunities around the industrial chain, supply chain, and value chain. Lei Hongyi from the Taiwan Industrial and Commercial Construction Research Association said that Taiwan has certain advantages in fields such as auto parts, while Chongqing has a relatively strong foundation in the new energy vehicle industry. The two sides can strengthen collaboration in related industries, and young entrepreneurs from Taiwan are encouraged to develop in Chongqing. On the same day, the 2026 CrossStrait (Chongqing) Youth Sports Carnival also kicked off simultaneously. Competitions including basketball, pickleball, and slowpitch softball will be held successively in many places across Chongqing, providing a platform for exchanges among youth from both sides of the strait.
