People Power Party floor leader Jom Jeomsik has decided to attend the 78th Constitution Day commemoration ceremony held at the National Assembly on the 17th.
Originally, the People Power Party had decided not to attend the event in protest of the Democratic Party of Korea's unilateral formation of the Assembly leadership, but it changed its stance in consideration of the fact that this is the first event held since Constitution Day was designated a public holiday for the first time in 18 years.
Meanwhile, People Power Party leader Jang Donghyeok is scheduled to attend a rally held at Olympic Park in Seoul instead of the Constitution Day event. Leader Jang said he would not take part in the event, criticizing the ruling partyled situation surrounding the operation of the National Assembly and the formation of its leadership.
