The ship lock operating plan for the Pinglu Canal has been approved, ensuring the lawful, compliant, and safe navigation of the three major hubs at Madao, Qishi, and Qingnian and bringing full-line navigation one step closer

On September 1, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Department of Transportation formally approved the ship lock operation plans for the three major hubs of Madao, Qishi, and Qingnian on the Pinglu Canal. The relevant plans will provide institutional guarantees for the ship locks to operate in accordance with the law and regulations, safely and in an orderly manner, and also mean that the Pinglu Canal is one step closer to fulllength navigation. It is understood that the three major hubs of Madao, Qishi, and Qingnian are the core control projects for the shipping of the Pinglu Canal. They mainly undertake functions such as water level coordination and vessel passage through the locks, and are regarded as key nodes in ensuring smooth navigation along the entire canal.
