Two Agriculture-Related Thematic Forums Held at the China Association for Science and Technology Annual Meeting

The 28th Annual Conference of the China Association for Science and Technology recently held two agriculturerelated forums in Beijing, focusing respectively on “the integrated, innovationdriven development of precision nutrition and industrial digitalization for efficient livestock and poultry farming” and “dialogue between animal and plant machine intelligence and agricultural sensors.” At the forum on efficient livestock and poultry farming, the organizers held discussions on topics such as precision nutrition, efficient feeding, development of new feed resources, lowprotein diets, big data, and the application of artificial intelligence. Experts at the meeting said that further promoting the integration of precision nutrition, intelligent technologies, and digital tools would help improve the quality and efficiency of farming, and strengthen the supply保障能力 of feed resources. At the agricultural sensors forum, experts and scholars discussed directions including humanmachine interaction in planting and breeding, agricultural sensing technologies, intelligent plant protection equipment, aquaculture sensors, and crop phenomics. They focused on analyzing the difficulties in agricultural information collection and intelligent applications, and explored technical pathways to promote the development of smart agriculture. The forum aims to serve the construction of a strong agricultural nation and the “AI+” initiative, and to enhance the digital and intelligent level of agriculture.
