Myanmar Foreign Minister Visits China, Focusing on China-Myanmar Relations and New Progress in Practical Cooperation Wang Yi's Talks Continue Consensus, Focusing on Cooperation Trends in the Four Global Initiatives

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that, at the invitation of Wang Yi, Myanmar's Foreign Minister Than Swe will pay an official visit to China from June 4 to 6. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that China and Myanmar are traditional friendly neighbors and a community with a shared future. Over the 76 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two sides have continuously advanced comprehensive strategic cooperation on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and the fruits of their cooperation have benefited the people of both countries. The Chinese side also noted that Wang Yi visited Myanmar at the end of April and reached positive consensus with the Myanmar side on deepening bilateral ties and advancing practical cooperation. This visit will be Than Swe's first trip to China since taking office as foreign minister, and China looks forward to further exchanges between the two sides on cooperation within the framework of the four global initiatives and on building a ChinaMyanmar community with a shared future.
