Kangnam Unni personal information leak exposes consultation and procedure information of 220,000 people Beware of impersonation texts and links, and check the leaked items now

It has been confirmed that the personal information of about 220,000 domestic and overseas users was leaked from Healingpaper, which operates the beauty medical platform ‘Gangnam Unnie.’ The leak included not only basic information such as names, contact details, email addresses, and dates of birth, but also sensitive details such as consultation application records and procedure information. The company said that on the 4th, after abnormal access occurred through the consultation history inquiry linkage feature, it blocked that route, and later confirmed signs of further attempts through other routes. The scale of the leak was estimated to include many overseas users in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, China, and other countries, along with about 160,000 users in Korea. Healingpaper has completed individual notifications to those affected by the leak and has taken measures to allow users to check the leaked items on its website for 30 days. It also advised users to be cautious of texts, phone calls, and emails that impersonate Gangnam Unnie or hospitals and ask them to click links or provide personal or financial information.
