According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, the National Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Committee has initiated a listed supervision of the investigation and assessment of the major flash flood disaster at Shuangshimen Valley, "7·26", in Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province.
This disaster occurred on July 26, 2026, in the Shuangshimen Valley area of Luojiamo Village, Huichuan Town, Weiyuan County. At the time of the incident, the area experienced shortduration heavy rainfall, which triggered a flash flood. It has so far caused 25 deaths and 23 injuries.
The National Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Committee has requested that the People's Government of Gansu Province, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, organize the investigation and assessment as soon as possible, promote improvements in disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief capabilities, and further safeguard the safety of people's lives and property.
