Global girl group KATSEYE made their debut as musical guests on the first episode of season 52 of NBC’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) in the United States.
On the 27th (Korean time), KATSEYE performed the prerelease track “Animal” and the title track “Hootie Frutti” from their third EP, WILD, on the broadcast. On the “Animal” stage, they drew attention with a strong concept and outfits, and on “Hootie Frutti,” they delivered a distinctive performance on a set reminiscent of a tropical fruit store.
They also appeared as judges in a parody skit of “The Debut: Dream Academy,” which recalled their own formation process, and even showed off their comedy acting. Billboard in the U.S. said that this appearance served as an opportunity for KATSEYE to expand their presence in the mainstream market.
