The Long March 8A successfully launched the 23rd batch of low-Earth-orbit satellites for the satellite internet, verifying upgraded performance and networking capabilities It achieved the "direct express" function for the first time, shortening satellite orbit-raising time and supporting high-density mass launches
At 16:52 on August 4, Beijing time, China successfully launched the 23rd batch of satellites for the lowEarth orbit satellite internet constellation into the preset orbit using a Long March 8A carrier rocket at the Hainan commercial space launch site, and the launch mission was completed successfully.
This mission was also the first fullsystem verification flight after the Long March 8A rocket completed its full performance upgrade. The upgraded rocket further demonstrated its advantages in payload capacity, providing support for subsequent highdensity, heavypayload, and largescale constellation deployment launch missions.
The mission also verified multiple key technologies, optimized the launch site operation process, and improved the overall launch and test efficiency. Reports noted that this was the first realization of the "direct express" function, which can save satellites several months of orbital transfer time.
