Prime Minister Kim Minseok said on the 27th, regarding intraparty conflict, “The attitude of criticizing the president with excessive confidence, as if I made the president, needs to be restrained.”
Prime Minister Kim attended a workshop for female candidates elected from the Democratic Party of Korea in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, and said the party had fallen short of expectations regarding the results of the June 3 local elections. He said, “There was anxiety that if things went wrong, we would continue to remain in opposition.”
He also emphasized the need for the party to reorganize, saying, “The president must not be shaken, and the government must not be shaken.” Regarding the possibility of running in the party convention in August, he said he would state his position when necessary after returning to the party.
