On the morning of July 5 local time, the 83rd Chinese Navy task force, which is carrying out a comprehensive deepsea internship and visit mission, arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and began a fourday friendly visit.
That morning, the Qi Jiguang, flying the flags of both China and Vietnam, docked at Lotus Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City, where a welcoming ceremony was held. Staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the local Chinese community, Vietnamese naval officers and soldiers, and representatives from Ho Chi Minh City were there to greet them. After the welcoming ceremony, the Qi Jiguang opened to the public for tours.
During the visit, the task force officers and sailors will also go to Vietnamese naval units and Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities for visits and exchanges, and will hold friendly ball games with Vietnamese naval officers and sailors. The task force plans to hold a deck reception aboard the Qi Jiguang on the evening of the 8th.
According to reports, during the previous sea voyage, the task force conducted teaching and training around subjects including nautical geography, celestial navigation, common subjects, specialized fundamentals, and onthejob internship. Trainees from Brazil, Myanmar, and Thailand completed their training after arriving in Vietnam and disembarked to return home.
