Rocket Growth sellers complain of damage from the fire at Coupang logistics center

As the fire at Coupang's logistics center in Seoknamdong, Seogu, Incheon continues into its third day, sellers who stored inventory at the center are reporting damage. In particular, in the case of the 'Rocket Growth' method, in which sellers entrust products to Coupang for storage and sales, concerns are growing over whether compensation will be provided, as the responsibility for inventory loss and the procedure for calculating damages appear complicated. The way it is handled is also different from Rocket Delivery, where Coupang directly purchases and sells the products. Onsite workers are also saying they have lost the place they go to work. The labor community criticized Coupang for focusing only on responding to delivery disruptions rather than protecting workers. Coupang has not yet issued an official statement, and the industry expects that once the firefighting is complete, the extent of the damage will be assessed and compensation measures will be discussed.
