Samsung Electronics unveiled its first smart glasses, "Intelligent Eyewear," at the "Galaxy Unpacked 2026" event held in London, UK. The product operates based on Google's Android Extended Reality (XR) platform and is equipped with functions such as receiving voiceguided directions, translating foreignlanguage menus, and saving what it sees through the camera to the Galaxy phone Notes app. It is scheduled for release later this year. Samsung also introduced two designs developed in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. According to the article, they were presented as being not significantly different from ordinary glasses in terms of appearance and weight. Through this unveiling, Samsung plans to expand the wearable AI ecosystem together with Google.
