Mongolian Prime Minister Uchirel Meets Wang Yi

On June 15, 2026, Mongolian Prime Minister Uchirle met with Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Ulaanbaatar. The two sides exchanged views on ChinaMongolia relations and practical cooperation. Uchirle said that developing friendly cooperation with China is a priority direction of Mongolia's diplomacy. The Mongolian side reaffirmed its adherence to the oneChina principle, stating that the Taiwan, Xinjiangrelated, Tibetrelated, and Hong Kongrelated issues are all China's internal affairs. It also said it is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, promote cooperation in areas such as highlevel exchanges, connectivity, port and railway construction, and mining cooperation, and create a more friendly business environment for Chinese enterprises investing in Mongolia. Wang Yi said that China and Mongolia are neighboring countries connected by mountains and rivers, and goodneighborliness, friendship, and winwin cooperation are the shared choice of both sides. The Chinese side is willing to continue strengthening political mutual trust with the Mongolian side, deepen the alignment of development strategies, advance highquality Belt and Road cooperation, and expand practical cooperation through bilateral cooperation, ChinaMongoliaRussia cooperation, and platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, so as to promote the sustained development of relations between the two countries.
